The Hi-Stakes

ParHasard is an Amsterdam-based band formed in 2017 that combines genres such as RnB, Soul, Funk, HipHop and jazz to create their own universe. With deep interactions with the audience, they share stories of self-reflection, love, sex and drugs, exploring the hard truth of being human in a digitised world. Over the past six years, ParHasard has gained a lot of experience through performances in several countries, including Germany, Hungary, France, Spain and, of course, the Netherlands. In 2023, they made a big leap by playing three support acts for international superstar Joss Stone. After performing at festivals such as Sziget, Eurosonic Noorderslag and Amersfoort Jazz, ParHasard are now working on a new album filled with their inner fire.

Luca Filastro started as a self-taught pianist at the age of five after listening to jazz records. Over time, he studied classical music and graduated at the age of 19. Since then, he has performed professionally worldwide, both as an accompanying musician and bandleader (not only as a jazz musician). Known from many jazz festivals and swing dance events, he is always trying to add something new to his style, looking for an art form without labels. Therefore, his music puts one foot in the past, one in the present and one in the future!

The Hi-Stakes: Original songs, with lyrics full of irony and passion, authentically played from a wide range of popular genres of the time. Be it a lyrical blues ballad or an explosive number from the old school of rhythm ‘n blues; in other words, their repertoire (completely original) covers everything between the jazz and blues worlds.

Kantine West will be open from 18:00 for delicious pizzas and more. And if you come between 18:00 and 20:00, you only pay 5 euros at the door!

Markt Centraal can only be reached by our train, the Markt Centraal Express. It departs from the gate of the Food Center Amsterdam at Jan van Galenstraat 6. The train runs between 18:00 and 03:00.

Markt Centraal is accessible by wheelchair, there is also a MIVA toilet in the hall. Unfortunately, the little train is not accessible by wheelchair. If you are coming with a wheelchair, please let us know in advance. We will then sign you in at the doorman of the Food Center Amsterdam.

If cancelled up to one week before the event, a refund of the amount paid is possible minus €2 costs per person. If cancelled in the week before the event, a refund of the amount paid is unfortunately not possible.
